Despite your best efforts to select the perfect engagement ring, there’s always a chance that it may need to be returned.

Brian Gavin’s 15 day return policy

As detailed on the Brian Gavin return policy page, you have up to 15 days to return your order to Brian Gavin for a full refund or an exchange.

As you can read here (scroll down to the Inspection Period & Return Policy section), the 15 day return period is calculated from when you receive your jewelry.

The item you want to return needs to be in an unworn state, and be accompanied by all the original documentation, for example, the diamond certification.

Not everything is refundable, the below items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Any item (rings, pendants, earrings and bracelets) that has a bezel setting, this is where the central diamond is surrounded by a metal frame. Please see image below for example of a bezel setting, you can also read more about this type of ring on our bezel page here.
  • Custom designed items
  • Damaged or altered items
  • Improperly packaged or uninsured items will not be accepted

Brian Gavin returns – how to return the order

1. Get a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number

Once you’ve decided that you want to return the ring, you have to email the Brian Gavin customer service team on shipping@briangavindiamonds.com or login in to your account on their website and request a RMA for return.

The customer service team will give you a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. You’ll have to write this code on the outside of the package.

Please note: The package has to be post marked no later than the 16th day after receipt of the product, so you have a very tight turnaround if you leave it till the 15th day to request a return.

2. Packing information

For exchanges and returns, it’s important to include all the original packaging and collateral, including the packing slip and diamond certifications. There is a replacement fee of $200 if this isn’t returned.

If returning a ring for resize, you don’t have to include any of the accompanying certificates and materials.  

Please do not write ‘jewelry’ or ‘diamonds’ anywhere on the box as this might be a temptation for would-be thieves.

3. Postage information

Brian Gavin require you to send your package back via USPS and it must be insured and registered. The insured amount must be the should be for the amount you paid.

When will you get your refund from Brian Gavin?

Once the package is received by Brian Gavin, the opening of the return package is filmed on camera to avoid any disputes. The QA team will verify the condition of the item approve the validity of the return. Once this happens it will take 5-7 business days to process.

You’ll get your money back the same way you paid for it. Original Complimentary FedEx shipping/insurance charges will be deducted from your refund.

Brian Gavin will not cover any fees charged by your bank for the transaction. If the refund is back on your credit card, please allow one billing cycle for the refund to appear.

So there you have it, Brian Gavin have quite a specific set of rules to follow in order to make sure you get a refund smoothly, but if you follow all the steps you should be totally fine.
